As many of you know, Rick and I moved to Florida from Cleveland, OH in 1986.
Leaving behind the snow was easy. Leaving my career at Cohen & Company, the
regional CPA firm where I got my start, was the difficult part. I learned
many things during my times at Cohen, including the importance of client service.
As with all good relationships, you keep in contact with those individuals who are
important to you. Over the years, Rick and I have consulted with Cohen & Company on
special projects and sought their advice on technical issues.
In 2007, we finalized a joint-venture with Cohen & Company,
and now operate as Lanese & Associates, an affiliate of Cohen & Company.
What this means for our clients is simple: your business, accounting and tax
resources just got a little bigger. Our pool of knowledge has increased by more
than 180 professionals who want to help you reach your goals.
In addition to general tax and audit services, Cohen & Company has several niche
specialties including Real Estate, Non-Profit, HR Consulting, M&A Services, and
Financial Planning through its related company, Sequoia Financial Group.
